Little Venice -London Studio Apartment.
Even in the current recession homes in London have reached an all time high. A nightmare for anyone looking to take a step onto the property ladder. In an attempt to make housing more affordable a scheme is being offered called London Living Rent which offers homes for rent at cheaper than market rates to allow the tenants a chance to save whilst renting with an option to buy the property after living there for 3 years. These properties are typically small modern one room living spaces ... but occasionally they come with a million dollar view. Does living in a single room space sounds a nightmare to you. With clever planning & good use of space it can be a good experience. Pop your head into this Little Venice starter home to see if you could live here. This room has a raised bed area, kitchen, lounge section and tucked away shower room.
Little Venice is an area in the heart of Londons' capital city, famous for its canal network.
Although not all in working order the famous red telephone boxes are still widespread in UKs capital city.
Come on in... you can't get lost.
Behind the bed a large artwork of Battersea Power station an iconic London building that has recently undergone a huge transformation into a shopping centre, leisure complex and housing development.
The bedroom area is on a raised platform center rear of the room.
Another artwork of Battersea power station and Battersea Bridge.
Neat slimline storage is the key for a compact space.
Entrance area... meet one of the homes residents!
Laundry area shares space with the shower room.

Ohh Karen!! How I love your designs!! Every single one is so unique! This is just wonderful! I love getting the background story of Little Venice, the Battersea Power Station, and the London Living Rent program. That's one of the most fun aspects of HS -- getting firsthand info about the places my friends live. The color palette is so cool and the layout is just perfect! I love the elevated bed area, and what a fantastic location -- the canal! This is such a brilliant design!

Karen,
very unusual interior!
I wanted to write that I still want to tightly close the toilet area...
and the other day I was visiting, where, by definition, it was difficult to find a place for a toilet and a kitchen, because the house was old and did not provide for such communications.
oh.....living with open space everywhere is still psychologically difficult, that is, not everyone can live like that....

I love both the concept and aesthetic of this design Karen - the colours are so warm and inviting! Although I'm also from England, I don't know London very well and so I had no idea that Little Venice existed! This project truly tells a unique city story reflecting London!!

There is no one better than you to reflect the essence of London in an apartment. This apartment is dynamic, fun, but maintains the face brick typical of the city's facades. The colors are bright and will surely contrast perfectly with the gray and rainy days, bringing a pinch of happiness to the occupant of this apartment. This boy is very lucky to be able to live on the canal 👏👏👏
