#VeryPeriContest- Periwinkle Blues
Design with Pantone 2022 ! Periwinkle blues is my play on the colours of these delicate little flowers that share their name with this particular colour. lavender petals and white edged centres. This interior focuses on the lavender hue of periwinkle and teams it up with various other shades of flora colours, rich lavenders through to darkest violet.

Starting with the original area which I used as a courtyard and terrace I expanded to lead through to a living room. This room then opened through to an airy kitchen/diner with feature Moroccan fretwork archways. A modest feminine bedroom and bathroom complete the design.

Courtyard
I have decorated this partially covered area with periwinkle painted walls combined with whitewashed brickwork. Geometric floorings and brushed steel finishes complete the look.
Open fretwork panels add a Middle Eastern feature to the archways.
Living Room
The courtyard leads directly on to the sitting room where dramatic dark violet elements have been introduced to the periwinkle. The white brickwork remains on some of the walls to encourage the design to flow from area to area.
The strong deep violet blues are balanced by the white brickwork and the periwinkle acts as a meeting point between the two.
Triple aspect windows out onto the gardens allow enough light to stop the dark walls from becoming oppressive.
Raised shelves behind the sofa and a small discreet cupboard offer good storage and display solutions.
Accents of salmon mingle with the blue tones adding another dimension to the colour spectrum.
A wall of birds and animal prints are mixed with mirrors to add texture and visual interest.
Bedroom1
Soft and undeniable feminine the bedroom is a romantic mix of pale lavender and coordinating shades. With leafy curtain fabric and dual aspect windows.
The furnishings also include soft sheen storage items in palest grey.
Balcony
The slightly raised balcony is a great in-between area /perfect for a quiet moment and a offers pleasant views to the gardens.
Trailing vines hang down from the open ceiling area and bring the outside in.
Kitchen
The kitchen has plenty of room for dinning with the option of casual breakfast bar or this spacious dining table.
The fretwork archways give an airy freshness and let in the light.
One end of the room offers an alternative sitting area with views through to the courtyard area.
Bathroom
Lavender and pinks are the prevalent shades in the bathroom
Soak your cares away with aromatic oils and petals in pretty feminine colours.
A bathroom stocked with tempting bathing treats, a great place to end the day or in this case this interiors tour!!

hello Sara... i cant thank you enough for taking time to view all my designs...hope you enjoyed them. Now that the concrete challenge is fixed I'm hoping to return to the challenge in a little while.. but a few projects i need to finish up first. Sounds like your daughter is keeping you busy. .she's very lucky to have someone as special as you for a mother. Take good care of yourself and hopeful see you on the CC if all goes to plan.

Ohhh but of course you would take my favorite color and make me love it even more!! You mixed purples and accent colors so masterfully! The details in this home are so cool. I especially love that opening shot of the walkway. It's just so beautifully constructed, and the lighted ceiling is a scene-stealer! And what a beautiful, feminine bedroom! Fantastic periwinkle design!

Hello Karen. First of all, congratulations on your successes on the web. You make wonderful and very professional designs 🤩💯. I've finally managed to enter the web ✌️, as I do it through the ipad sometimes it won't let me 🥲 Lately, I've been decorating my daughter's apartment in Madrid and I don't feel like decorating virtually. Reality is exhausting 🤣 You don't know how sorry I am that our beloved concrete challenge has ended abruptly due to technical problems, I keep all the good times we've spent with you. Very happy to enjoy your beautiful designs and I hope you continue to reap success. Very happy for you dear friend 😘😘

How lovely to tour this dreamy home! I loved how the color was used in abundance but still in a calming way on the senses! The courtyard and balcony completely captured my heart. I loved the open space in the kitchen and that beautiful fretwork on the archways. You nailed the Very Peri in a very special way!
