The office was a basement room with a style all its own.
This office was going to be full of bright colors with the decor so I kept the room dark to highlight the decor while also keeping the look less visually cluttered. I also kept the curtains and the main furniture items simple and neutral, again to let the decor be the statement.
My client wanted three monitors on display and and an ergonomic chair for long hours of gaming. To the right, I created a storage unit for his comic book collection. Each drawer features a front plastic display sleeve to showcase a comic of his choosing and swap them out as he pleases.
There wasn't a need for a lot of storage as the offie was mostly used for gaming, but there is enough storage to house a few necessary items.
The rug in the room is low pile for easy maneuvering of the desk chair.
A shelf that he already owned housed his puzzle blocks and Rubik's cube collection. All the artwork and decor was chosen to highlight what he loves.
The sofa is a pull-out sofa so that when family is in town, this room can serve as an extra bedroom.
The ceiling and fan are also kept dark to keep visual interest limited to the decor.
