Help!! Outdoor Spaces & Octagonal Windows (ノД)ノ ??

道明 阿宝 16 December

Hello!! I'm a student and recently (last week) my Interior Design teacher switched us from Floorplanner to Homestyler. It's been difficult for me to adapt to this program, especially with all the features Homestyler has compared to Floorplanner. Right now, I'm working on my final project. It's supposed to be our "dream homes". I chose to do a simplistic Chinese-style courtyard house (siheyuan) with some elements inspired by Filipino ancestral homes.

My biggest issues right now are figuring out how to make the courtyard into an outdoor space and how to fix the gaps in the octagonal windows.

If there is anyway to fix this, please inform me! I've spent a lot of time researching siheyuans and working on the general floor plan and I don't want that work to go to waste o(TヘTo) Any and all help would be grately appreciated <3 (Sorry for my bad English)

Then you do the same steps to the rest three corners, and finally replace the material to the same as the wall.

Use 'Extrude' to give the thickness to the shapes:

And about the gaps in the octagonal windows, you may fullfill them in 'Interior Modeling' by this way: Use 'Line' to draw the shapes of the cut-out sections :

Hi, we are willing to help:) Firstly, if you want to make the space appear with the outdoor look, you may first unshow the ceiling by this way:
