Restored 1850s-era, Australian-style homes in California, specifically prefabricated timber and concrete structures shipped from Australia during the Gold Rush, are rare, significant examples of 19th-century Pacific Rim trade . These homes, along with other historic California structures from that period, are often preserved within living history museums. Until now remodel and rebuilding to new era.
