Every time I change material, my custom furniture snaps to a new location, usually a few inches away from where is was. Similar problems with toe-kicks, they often get generated inches away from where they should. BUGGY.
Holding down the Ctrl while moving does the trick. (Although it works quite hectic with scaling)
