How do I create an Elevated Entrance?-Вопросы и Ответы-Homestyler Forum

Hi guys, Relatively new to Homestyler and I can't figure out if there is a way to do an elevated entrance. The basic idea is that the floor slab is several feet off of the ground and you have to ascend to get to it. I want to say stoop or stoep, but I'm prettty sure there's a more specific name. Anyway, is it possible to make an entrance like this? Many thanks for any help or advice you can offer.

Another way: create a '1st floor' or 'basement' at the height of your front entry elevation, make it larger than the main structure. Add HS '2nd floor', this can be the base (1st fl of your structure) for house. The HS 1st fl since it is larger than main structure can be used as your outside area, once the ceiling has been removed by using the floor edit of the 2nd floor. If done this way, its easier to line things up when adding steps/creating custom modeling. You won't have to worry about the floors lining up from the outside to the inside/making openings for doors/windows.

To elevate you entry/or house flooring: Create a custom flooring/base for all elevated areas, from your entry to your ground floor or for all others areas that needs to be in same level as one custom build. Then increase your wall height to achieve appropriate height levels for your ground floor. Hope this helps.

Picture shows HS 1st fl in plane view showing that large area around the main house. This became the outside area used for steps and landscaping. Hope this helps.
