Hi homestyler staff Hi Homestyler members Anybody here for helping, please?, I have tried many times to add external facade design objects for the attached designed house, but unfortunately, I can not find the tools that are enabled me to draw the architectural details within the house's face. There are no commands that enable me to create lines, curves, solid blocks, etc. Is there a problem regarding the free online application ? or should pay a subscription in order to access more complicated tools? I am ooking forward to receiving your response Kind regards, Aq (homestyler new member

It looks like you might be trying to make a balcony, but I don't know. @ Rivers Grace

It may help if you comment a hand-drawn picture of what you are trying to accomplish because I have no idea what it is you are asking. Maybe unhide your walls.

I've found that unfortunately you can't edit the slabs after they've been placed... Maybe try to type the dimensions you need instead of trying to stretch it. Click on the beam you wanna edit and try to see if you can adjust L/W/H there @ Aq Sw

Hi Grace I have tried to edit the floor sab, as seen in the blue circles attached, but the attempts failed. How I can cut or add parts or blocks to the walls and floors?

(For the floor slabs) Also use beams. Have the elevation at floor level (not necessarily 0) and stretch it and adjust it however.

In roam or 3D view, place the beam where you need it vertically. Then in the "plane" view, stretch the beam to the size you need length wise. You should also be able to rotate the beams and change the material. You can also duplicate the beams and adjust the sizes like I mentioned before.

Thanks for your quick response. The second question is, how to edit the floor slabs? by cutting or adding some parts in order to make the architectural block.

Here is how to make a facade in Homestyler. I assume you already know how to replace materials.

I think you can just use beams and change the material to create a geometric facade. It won't be an official tool. You don't have to use stuff for just their intended design. Stuff like this will require some creative thinking bending of the rules. Many people do these cool exterior designs using almost exclusively interior things. So try exploring using other materials and tools to get the effect you're looking for! :D

Thanks for your reply Actually, I have seen some members designing professional exterior facades as in the following picture. So, I wonder whether they created their designs using homestyle or not. I have tried to add some features in the exterior zone but without successful attempts. @ Rivers Grace
